Caramel Apple Making

The kids don't have school today & tomorrow which means we needed something fun to do to entertain us!  :)  Today we decided to make caramel apples...YUM!

We bought the "sheets" of caramel and just had to stretch them around our apples, stick in the sticks, warm them up in the oven, and WAHLAH~caramel apples to eat!

This is how our apples looked when we started~notice little man did not want to be in the pic again.  :)

Working so hard to get the caramel stretched over the apple....it was actually harder than I expected!

Our apples all ready to get put in the oven:  don't they look yummy?

The best part~time to EAT!

Little man summed it up best when he said "Holy cow Mom. This is yummy!"  :)

Before we could make our caramel apples we needed to go to Walmart to get the popsicle sticks to put in them.  So, we made a special trip to Wally (w/ four kids...not my idea of fun), walked ALL over the entire store looking for the stinkin' popsicle sticks...seriously, I've bought them how many times for my preschool classes but could  NOT find them today (couldn't have anything to do w/ my four distractors helpers I had along), finally decided to just ask and was politely told they were in the craft aisle, put them in our cart, and came home.  Got home and opened the pkg of caramel to put on the apples and the very first thing I see~5 nice little popsicle sticks that are included in the caramel package!  :)  The kids thought that was absolutely hilarious!!
